Relationship status? In a relationship.

What qualities do you appreciate in a partner? My girl is honest, down to earth, definitely not a princess!!, able to get ready within 20min but still always looks beautiful, & is not materialistic.

In any relationship, what would be a 'deal-breaker' for you? lies

Were you an athlete growing up? if so, which sport/s? I played Soccer, BMX racing, Tae Kwon Do (Martial Arts)

How did you become involved in Bodybuilding? My father introduced me to weights when I was 16. Then at 17, my sister’s boyfriend took me to the gym for the first time. From then on I was hooked.

Tell us 3 highlights since you became involved in the sport of Bodybuilding; Winning my first show, ANB Sydney titles Overall Champion 1998, ANB National Champion 2006, ANB/WNSO World Champion 2008 - in Canada (see photo below left).

Describe your life/training philosophy;

  • Never sell yourself short.
  • Near enough is not good enough.
  • Train smart, stay natural.

 When training for a competition, what do you typically eat & drink each day? I drink around 3-4 litres of water. My food is always fresh produce such as lean cuts of meat, sweet potato, pumpkin & green vegetables. I try not to eat anything processed.

Which types of supplements do you use? First & foremost whey protein, various vitamins & minerals, also creatine, glutamine & Tribulis.

Do you enjoy any 'treats' in the lead-up to a competition? no. My only cheat’ is having a little extra every so often when I feel I need it.

What's a week of training consist of in the  lead-up to a competition? 4-5 45min cardio sessions & 5 90 min weight sessions per week.

When preparing for a comp, do you prefer weight training, cardio, or posing practice? You have to do all 3 but I would prefer to simply do weights.

Who do you look up to/who inspires you? I look up to many people in the sport of bodybuilding as there are always new ideas & advice to hear. I am inspired by all the competitors I see when at bodybuilding shows... Always makes you want to train immediately.

What's the best thing about being involved in Bodybuilding? the tremendous satisfaction I receive after each training session. To know you are keeping healthy & ultimately extending your quality of life into the future.

.........Smile.........
