Cardio; 30-60 minutes moderate intensity B4 breaky each day (12,000+ steps daily) a Pedometer is a terrific training tool! New to exercising, then you may need to try doing 2 sessions of 15 minutes until you build up to 30 minutes straight. If walking with a friend, you should be able to carry on a conversation and feel slightly out of breath but not puffing, if you can sing to them, you need to speed up and break a sweat!

Majority Rules; Remember, it’s the choices we make the majority of the time, that make the majority of difference!

Sleep; 7-8 hours each night, if not, try a 20 minute power nap during the day to recharge.  

Find a Friend; Sharing a healthy lifestyle with a friend is so rewarding, and you can offer support to each other so you both stay on track.

Keep a Journal; Record your journey, include B4 & after photos, measurements (recommended maximum healthy waist size for women is 80cm, with 89+cm posing a high risk factor), exercise plan & food diary, your feelings at different stages, etc.

Stay Inspired; Books & DVDs can be great motivational tools, with relevant & entertaining information, hints, tips & stories

Rewards; Set long, medium & short term goals, make them specific, and reward yourself when you reach them on target eg:a new CD, massage, clothing, jewellery, etc......have fun, you deserve it ;-)

Pantry; Make it Healthy-Haven NOT a Nutrition-Nightmare. You can’t eat it if it’s not there.

Have your cake & eat it too? Enjoy a brisk walk to a fave local cafe, and “indulge” in a skim cappucino or small fat-free smoothie, then walk home again feeling great and guiltfree.

Exercise; Build up to 45-90minutes 6/7 days including your cardio, resistance training & stretching.

Rest, Relax & Recuperate; Take time-out to re-group & refresh your mind & body: pack a picnic to share with a special someone, enjoy a massage or day spa visit with a favourite gal-pal, plan a get-away to a B&B or health retreat....... the choice is yours, ENJOY!  

Attitude; Refresh it daily to keep it & you happy ;-)
